Welcome to the

Eco Adventure Ascent

The Eco Adventure Ascent is a mountaineering expedition designed to put the first combined UK emergency service team on the summit of an 8000 metre peak. The expedition will also raise money for much needed charities.

In 2014 a team of 15 climbers recruited from all 5 UK emergency services; Police, Fire, Ambulance, Coastguard/RNLI & Mountain Rescue will set out to climb one of the fourteen 8000 metre peaks of Asia. The team will attempt to climb one of the following peaks; Broad Peak with its magnificant views of K2; Gasherbrum 2 the most attainable 8000m peak; and Cho Oyu the 6th highest mountain in the world. This chosen peak will be decided closer to the expedition date.

The chosen peak will either be climbed Expedition Style with various high camps or Alpine style where small teams are self sufficient above base camp. The chosen style of climbing will be dependent on the experience within the team.
