ADVANCED RACE DETAILS

The 999 Eco Adventure Advanced Race is the most popular and the most competitive category in the event and is aimed at emergency service personnel who are looking to represent their service through competing in a challenging adventure race.

Teams can be made up of either two or four competitors who are required to stay together throughout the route, navigating their way between checkpoints. The disciplines encountered include running/walking (6 - 8 miles), mountain biking (10 - 12 miles) and canoeing (4 - 5 miles). There will also be fun mystery tasks to be carried out at some checkpoints.

Teams are required to find their way round the course using basic navigation. The route will be staged over mountainous terrain, forest trails and the water of lakes and/or fast moving rivers.
