2012 Entries Open...

Entries are now open for the 2012 event. The race will take place on 22nd September in the Peak District National Park. Click here to enter.

ABOUT US

The 999 Eco Adventure allows emergency service personnel to come together for a fun day of adventure. The event is managed each year by a small dedicated team.


MalcolmMalcolm Auchie

Malcolm Auchie set up the 999 Eco Adventure three years ago. He has competed in many adventure races and ultra-marathons including the Marathon des Sables and West Highland Way Race, and is also an avid mountaineer.


Stephen Stephen McFaulds

Stephen McFaulds has been involved in the event since 2008. He is a keen cyclist and mountaineer and has competed in the West Highland Way Race and LAMM. He will be co-ordinating the Advanced Race.



Alex Alex Holden

Alex Holden has also been involved in the organisation of the event since it began in 2008. He has competed in many triathlons and is a keen cyclist and mountaineer. Alex is also a qualified paramedic and will therefore be involved in event safety as well co-ordinating the Advanced Race route.



AdeleDerek Graham

Derek Graham has helped with organising the 999 Eco Adventure since 2010. He is an experienced mountaineer and mountain biker and has competed in several triathlons. Derek will co-ordinate the fun and intermediate race.

 


Jim Jim Hutcheon

Jim Hutcheon is technician with the Scottish Ambulance Service and a keen photographer. He will be looking after the Fun & Intermediate checkpoints as well as photographing competitors for the website.





Colin Colin McCorquodale

Colin McCorquodale is also a technician with the Scottish Ambulance Service. He will be looking after the Fun and Intermediate routes and is a avid hillwalker.
